A New Business Owner should always
check with the Montebello Planning Department to Determine if any
permits are required.
Health Permit – Restaurants or any
food service business require a health permit before the business
license may be issued. To obtain a health permit, please contact:

Extended Hours Permit
– Some business establishments may require extended use permits to
operate after regular hours in commercial zones. Permits must be
approved by the Montebello Police Dept. and may be obtained from the
Planning Dept.
Alarm Permit – Must be
obtained if there is an alarm on the premises. Permits are obtained
from the Finance Department
Sign Permits – Must be
obtained for any sign visible from the street, parking lot, or to
the public. Please contact Montebello Planning Department.
Modification Permit –
is required for any modification to interior or exterior of
building. Please contact: Montebello Building and Safety
Department.
