GET YOUR WHEELS TURING FOR BIKE TO WORK DAY, MAY 16, 2013

Los Angeles County Bike to Work Day is on May 16, 2013. This is the 19th annual California Bike to Work Week, May 13 – 19, 2013. This is the week dedicated to encourage commuters to increase bicycle use as part of their daily commute. Thursday, May 16, 2013 you may ride for free with our bike (MBL buses can only accommodate two bikes at a time, first come first served). Montebello Bus Lines along with other local transit agencies listed below will be participating. To find out more to htt://www.metro.net/bikes/bike-week

Riding your bike saves money on gas, but also has other benefits such as reducing air pollution, consumption, and getting daily exercise while you commute. If every American adult biked to work once a week instead of driving, gas would be cut by 1 billion gallons a year, and eliminate traffic induced stress, one less thing to worry about. MBL buses are all equipped with bike racks to accommodate two bikes at a time, so you can combine your cycling trip with a bus ride.

On May 16, 2013, the following agencies will provide free rides to customers boarding with a bicycle or helmet:

The Montebello Bike Coalition will be participating by having a pit stop at the Daily Brew located at 132 N. Montebello Ave., Montebello from 9am – 12pm. Pick up some free goodies (first come first served).
