The Detective Bureau is headed by a Lieutenant and includes both General Detectives and Special Investigations. A Sergeant supervises both the General Investigations bureau and the Special investigations Bureau. General Investigations consists of Adult and Juvenile Detectives, the Court Liaison Officer, and the Property & Evidence Unit. Special Investigations consists of Narcotics Detectives, Gang Detectives and the Graffiti Task Force.
