The Afterschool Recreation Program is a FREE drop-in program to children in the City of Montebello ages 5 - 17. It is available year-round at three of our City Park sites. We offer many fun activities such as arts & crafts projects, trips, games, free homework assistance and other special events.

This program has been established to provide quality daycare services for our families of elementary school children, kindergarten - 4th grade. We strive to provide a safe place where children can complete their homework, engage in supervised outdoor/indoor activities, crafts and games. We also provide daily snacks. Standard hours of operation are from 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. In order to enroll your child, he/she must be attending school at the Extended Child Care Sites (Please see below.) We provide an environment that promotes social-emotional, physical and intellectual development for preschool children while allowing for differences so that each child may achieve a sense of self-esteem and self-discipline. Cost for 8 Week Session: | Monday, Wednesday, Friday Classes | $255 / 8 weeks | | Tuesday, Thursday Classes | $165 / 8 weeks | - Late pick-ups will be charged $2.00 per minute after 2:15 p.m.
- There is an additional $33 material fee required per school year
