The City of Montebello, Department of Municipal Services’ Parks and Recreation Division provides a great Aquatics Program for both fitness and leisure throughout the summer months.  Regular hours of operation are seasonal and typically begin in June until Labor Day weekend in September.  Program facilities include the George Hensel Aquatics Center and Chet Holifield Park pool.  Hours of operation and programming differ upon location.

Activities include Recreational Swim weekdays and weekends, Saturday through Sunday, from 1-4p.m. and extended hours on Friday and Saturday evenings.  Additional programming is provided through special events and sports programs, through the After School Recreation program’s Youth Biathlon (July) and the Water Follies (August).  Swim Lessons, available in the morning or evening, are offered, as well for all ages and abilities, including Mommy & Me, Tiny Tots, Beginners, Advanced Beginners, Intermediate, Swimmer, Beginning Water Polo and Adult (Non-Swimmers).

Don’t worry, if what you’re looking for is a nice active form of exercise in a refreshing atmosphere, come join the Aqua Aerobics Challenge for a "get fit-get energized” low-impact water cardio workout set to your favorite Disco, Salsa and Merengue dancing tunes; or Swim Conditioning is available if you’re more enticed by a structured workout that focuses on improving your swimming techniques and levels of endurance.

We’ll keep you posted on any updates or forthcoming changes!
