I am honored to serve as the Fire Chief for the Montebello Fire Department. Your Fire Department works diligently to be technologically current, fiscally responsible, and highly trained to provide the best level of public service. In the last 20 years, the fire service has evolved to gain responsibility for a large number of missions. Fire suppression is no longer our chief responsibility. The Montebello Fire Department responds to a wide range of missions, including emergency medical aid, technical rescue, wildland fire suppression, hazardous materials, and more recently the prospect of a terrorism event involving weapons of mass destruction.
The Fire Department is staffed by 18 firefighters each day divided between three fire stations. Fire Station #1 houses, one 4-man paramedic engine company, and one 3-man 100’ ladder company and a battalion chief. Fire Station #2 houses, one 4-man paramedic engine company and one 3-man 100-foot ladder company. Fire Station #3 houses, one 4-man paramedic engine company.
The delivery of service by the Montebello Fire Department to our community would not be possible without the continued support of the City Council. It is this atmosphere of teamwork that will enable the Fire Department to provide emergency services necessary to insure the safety and well being to the Citizens of Montebello.
I value all citizens input and invite you to contact me with questions, comments or concerns regarding your fire department. I can be reached by phone at 323-887-4515 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
