Welcome to the Economic Development Division.  Our Mission Statement is 'The expansion and recruitment of business and the creation of wealth and jobs for the City.'

The Economic Development Divison is responsible for the City's redevelopment business retention and attraction, affordable housing activities and the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).

We provides technical, administrative, and financial support for various public and private development programs, which are located within the three Redevelopment Project Areas. Coordinates the efforts and activities of the Montebello Community Redevelopment Agency. The Agency is responsible for redeveloping and upgrading blighted areas with the ultimate goal being the expansion of local business activity, creating jobs, housing for the low/ moderate-income population, and increased local revenues.
