Montebello Gov TV Channel offers a “window” to the activities and personalities that make Montebello’s local government and community unique. This Community Channel will provide broadcast programming that informs and engages Montebello’s citizens in their government, community, recreational opportunities, the local economy and cultural events.
The Montebello Gov TV Channel will provide 24 hours of programming, public service announcements and bulletin boards. It will also feature production by the City of Los Angeles in partnership with TV of Santa Monica.
Montebello Gov TV Channel will also provide rebroadcast coverage of Montebello City Council meetings, Planning Commission, Culture and Recreation Commission and Traffic and Civil Service commission meetings.
Safety programs for residents will also broadcast on Montebello Gov TV Channel topics such as “Identity Theft Protection,” “Vehicle Burglary Prevention” and various videos on emergency preparedness.
Montebello Gov TV Channel community bulletin board featuring news about community group meetings and City programs will be broadcasted as well.
DVDs of the City Council and Commission meetings are available for purchase in the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall.

Message Board
Any non-profit organization based in Montebello may submit an event announcement for the Montebello Gov TV Channel message board. City staff will review the appropriateness of messages and may edit them for space and clarity. The Montebello Gov TV Channel office is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM at City Hall, 1600 W. beverly Blvd, Montebello Ca 90640, phone (323) 5887-4547, fax (323) 887-1410, vgutierrez@cityofmontebello.com . Requests should be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the event.
Access to the message board is limited to four messages per year, space permitting. Information should be submitted to the City's Cable Office and include:
- Organization Name
- Event
- Date of Event
- Time of Event
- Location of Event
- Contact name and telephone number
We prefer receiving event information by email and ideally in PowerPoint or Adobe Photoshop formats, however, you may submit by mail, in person, or by fax and include event fliers, photographs, or other organization graphics to be used in the announcement. Organization should submit proof of its 501c3 or other non-profit status with its first announcement request. It is not necessary to resubmit the non-profit status with subsequent requests.
Messages will be accepted on a first come, first served basis and aired as space allows. Messages will be removed the day after the scheduled event. The City of Montebello reserves the right to decline any request that does not fall within the non-profit guidelines.
User priority for the municipal channel message board is established to provide the most equitable use of available space in the event that heavy demand results in space limitation. The order of priority for messages on the message board is as follows:
- Time-dated or essential City of Montebello information. Non-essential or standing information may be removed in the event of space limitation, and will be reinstated when space permits.
- Organizations within the city limits of Montebello sponsoring events taking place within city limits.
- Organizations within the city limits of Montebello sponsoring events taking place outside of Montebello.
Omission and Errors
Should human or technical error result in the cablecast of incorrect information over the municipal channel, the City of Montebello, its officers and agents shall not be liable for the inaccuracy of the information.
