EZ transit pass and
Metrocard are accepted on all Montebello Bus lines buses. MTA passes
are not accepted on Montebello Bus Lines. If you are a frequent bus
rider and use more than one bus system, the EZ transit pass will
allow you to transfer to any of the fourteen participating transit
agencies in Los Angeles County for free for the month. EZ transit
passes can only be purchased after the 25th of
the previous month and will not be available for sale after the 10th
of the current month. The Metrocard allows you to prepay your
fare and the cost of your fare will be deducted from your card. For

 The monthly EZ transit pass will
benefit transit riders who are frequent users of two or more of the
14 participating transit agencies. EZ transit pass will allow you
to transfer to any of the fourteen participating transit agencies in
Los Angeles County for free unlimited rides for the month. The
participating agencies are Commerce Municipal Bus Lines, Culver
CityBus, Foothill Transit, Gardena Municipal Bus Lines, Glendale
Beeline, LADOT, Long Beach Transit, Montebello Bus Lines, Metro Bus
& Metro Rail, Norwalk Transit, Santa Clarita Transit, Santa Monica’s
Big Blue Bus, Torrance MAX and Torrance Transit. EZ transit pass is
available in Adult and Senior/Disabled denominations. For more

Metrocard
is a prepaid fare card that can be used to pay transit fare. Just
board the bus, insert the card into the farebox and your exact
fare is automatically deducted from the card’s prepaid value.
The Metrocard is good as long as there is balance remaining on the
card. Once the remaining value is low, you can add value to the
existing card.
The fare will be
based on the status and age of the rider and a valid I.D. card if
necessary. The farebox reader will display your card’s remaining
value so you will know when it is time to recharge. Your Metrocard
can take you virtually anywhere you need to go. Use it on any bus
within the Metrocard system including Foothill Transit,
Montebello Bus
Lines, Norwalk Transit,
and
Santa Monica’s
Big Blue Bus.
