The golf course has a
rich history that goes back to 1928, when it was built as an enterprising
country club designed by Max Behr, (Golf Course Architect). In 1941 the
City of Montebello purchased the course and is now proud of this
opportunity to welcome you, the patrons from local and distant
communities, to our Montebello Municipal Golf Course.
The 120 acre, 18-hole
public championship course was remodeled in 1998-99 reopening on May 7,
1999. The remodel included the addition of 3 lakes all new greens, tees,
bunkers and cart paths. Architects for the remodel were David Rainville
and Gary Bye. Montebello Country Club is now recognized as one of the best
municipal golf courses in Southern California.
Proper golf attire must be worn at all times/ Collared Shirts /
